『Grim Dawn』まさかのDLC第3弾が発表！新クラス、新アイテム、接辞変換、装備覚醒など途方もない拡張

ハクスラ最高峰タイトルの1つ『Grim Dawn』の新たな大型追加コンテンツ「Fangs of Asterkarn」が、2024年にリリース予定であることが発表された。

個人的には朝起きて我が目を疑うほどのビッグニュースであり、そして、同じように驚いてくれるであろう”乗っ取られ”の皆さんのために、フォーラムで公開されていた内容を日本語でお伝えしたい。

第3弾DLCのまとめ

現在発表されている内容自体はそれほど多くないが、まずは、1枚の画像で箇条書きのように記されているDLCの概要について見ていこう。

DLCのタイトル名は「Fangs of Asterkarn」（拙訳：アスターカーンの牙）

この画像の内容だけで『Grim Dawn』の並外れた新たな広がりを予感し、ニュースを確認した早朝から震えてしまった。フォーラムでは、各要素についてさらに詳細が書かれているので、そちらも確認してみよう。

凄まじい拡張が予想される新要素たち

◆DLCの舞台◆
「Fangs of Asterkarn」と名付けられているとおり、ケアンの西部に位置するアスターカーン地方が舞台となっている。アスターカーン地方は雪が降る厳しい大地という印象で、雪山や氷の洞窟などを旅しながら、「Kurn部族」の血塗られた暗き歴史に足を踏み入れていくとのことだ。

◆10番目となる新しいマスタリークラス◆
クラス名は「Berserker」で、凶暴な獣のような姿へと変身して破壊の力を振るう戦士とのこと。キービジュアルを見ると、白いオオカミに変身できる近接向きクラスのような印象だ。この新クラスにより、マスタリークラスの組み合わせは計45通りとなる。

◆最大レベルと祈祷ポイント◆
両者も数値的な変更はない。ただ、クエスト報酬や後述のポーションカスタマイズで新たな力を手に入れられるとのことだ。

◆ポーションカスタマイズ◆
Ver.1.2からポーションは数量で所持することが廃止され、スキル枠に入るようだ。そして、第3弾DLCでは、体力を回復させるだけではなく、強力なユニークバフや効果を付与できる性能にカスタマイズできるようになる。

◆Affix（接辞）変換◆
マジックとレアの装備に付いている接辞をリロールできるようになる。『Grim Dawn』では、最終ビルドにレア装備が組み込まれることも多く、やや現実的ではないダブルレア品の入手もハードルがかなり低くなりそうだ。ただ、1ロールするために「クトーンの捕縛印とウグデンブルームが＊＊個ずつ必要」とか言われてもおかしくはない。

◆Ascendant ゲームモードの追加◆
おそらく、ベテランモードのようにキャンペーンの難易度を変更するゲームモード。ダンジョンやボスがプレイヤーの限界を試すかのように変化するとのこと。

◆Crucible（坩堝）の拡張◆
坩堝モードに30ウェーブ追加。

◆シャッタードレルムの成長◆
新しい領域とボスエリアを追加。

◆数百種類の新アイテムの追加◆
新しいMI品、エピック、レジェンダリー装備品を数百種類追加。……本当なのか…？

◆エピック装備の覚醒◆
数多くのエピック装備の真の潜在能力を解放し、レジェンダリー装備に匹敵する力を与えられるようになる。

◆新しい敵◆
スーパーボスとネメシスボス（どちらも複数形表記）が実装される。

◆2つのローグライクダンジョンの追加◆
「Fangs of Asterkarn」の無料アップデートとして2つのローグライクダンジョンの追加を予定。

2024年は深淵を覗く年になりえる

冒頭でもお伝えしたが、リリースは2024年を予定しており、価格は「Ashes of Malmouth」「Forgotten Gods」と同価格帯を想定しているそうだ。

これまでもDLCが出る度に『Grim Dawn』の世界は広がり続けたが、第3弾ではビルドの選択肢が恐ろしく膨らむことは容易に予想され、今からどうなるのか想像するだけでも楽しい。

また、本筋とはややずれてしまうが、先日は『Titan Quest II』の発表もあり、『Path of Exile 2』も2024年6月7日からクローズドベータが開始されることがアナウンスされている。

もしも、これらすべてが来年発売されとしたら……2024年は「ハクスラの年」と呼んで差し支えないだろう。

Ashes of Malmouth picks up where Grim Dawn leaves off, expanding the world and story with two new chapters in the epic struggle to free humankind from the horrors of the Aetherials.
